Innovations Day 10 February - Innovating for a better environment
Information

'Innovating for a better environment' is simply unique. A new and revolutionary concept, our Highways and Utilities Innovations Day is packed full of live demonstrations in a practical-hands-on environment. It’s simply not to be missed!

The journey begins with the safe application of traffic management and the surveying of underground assets. We then delve deeper into the delivery of highways and utilities works through the maintenance and renewal of the highway and the surrounding environment which stands before you. As the day progresses, we discover state-of-the-art technologies and processes raising the standard of works. In the exhibition area we uncover innovative products and services which help to deliver efficiency, effectively communicate with stakeholders, tackle climate change, reduce disruption and most importantly, put safety first. These are the overriding themes of our day.

Brought you in partnership with West Midlands HAUC, Severn Trent Water and Enterprise, we are pleased to welcome guests from the Department of Transport, including Patricia Hayes, Director of Policy. We also extend a warm welcome to delegates from a cross section of Local Authorities and Agencies spanning the length and breadth of the highways and utilities industry.

We've catered for everything. We know the weather is likely to be a little unpredictable in February, that's why we've erected a large viewing marquee designed to protect you from the elements in the event of cold or wet weather. We've also erected a large, heated corporate hospitality marquee which will serve a variety of hot and cold refreshments and a sizzling buffet-style lunch.

Just one final reminder. The event is hosted on a live working site and we therefore encourage you to bring along a PPE vest or jacket to satisfy our health and safety requirements. If you do not have one, we will be happy to issue you with one for the duration of the day.
