Streetworks Awareness

In a demonstration hosted by On Site Insight Services we explore many of the elements associated with ‘Street Works Safety and Awareness’ courses. Guests will be presented with a typical street works site and will observe a guide dog owner safely navigate through. Whilst passing through the works, we identify and explain why this is possible and what hazards are presented.

We then invite guests to tackle the same task under simulated blindness using a white cane to gain better appreciation of negotiating works.

This exercise will then be repeated with a Considerate Constructors lay assessor wheelchair user negotiating the works.
